About the event

Bear River Land Conservancy is partnering with the Northwestern Band of the Shoshone Nation to produce a walking tour to discuss the historical and cultural importance of the Sagwitch Basin to the Shoshone Nation. This is a rare opportunity to hear from indigenous persons on conserved land which protects their cultural heritage and informs our collective history.

The event will feature a short, low-intensity walk over uneven, unpaved ground without a trail. Please dress accordingly and bring water, sun protection, and a snack!

We will be meeting at a parking lot in Paradise and then carpooling/caravanning to the property. Please plan to arrive by 9:30 so we can start the carpool by 10 am.

Our mission is to preserve the benefits of land and water in Northern Utah and the Bear River Watershed for present and future generations. We do this by partnering with communities and landowners to permanently sustain the heritage of working lands and protect natural areas.

Let's stay connected.
